Was aware of Glenn Beck's blatant attempt to usurp the notion of a real "movement" in this country yesterday, but I was struck by three things that stoked the outrage meter. First, Beck's assertion that we've too long "wandered in darkness" (subtle he's not); Palin's repeated characterization of the crowd as "real Americans;" and last but not least, the TeaPartier from Ohio who attended the DC rally interviewed on radio saying he was there because of the infringements brought about by health care reform and (get this) Social Security.
As always, I look to the numbers for these events - but can't seem to find an accurate count.
